This Privacy Policy explains how OCOM Private Limited, operating the CashOnPick brand (CashOnPick, we, us or our), collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal data when a person visits cashonpick.com, uses a CashOnPick application, requests a quotation or pickup, contacts support, or applies to or operates as a pickup partner.

1 Scope and roles

CashOnPick provides technology, customer support and transaction-coordination services for the sale of used devices and appliances. A registered pickup partner may receive limited customer and request information to inspect, purchase, pay for and collect an item. CashOnPick and each partner must use personal data only for legitimate transaction and compliance purposes. A partner may not use customer data for unrelated marketing, resale, private solicitation or off-platform transactions.

2 Personal data we collect

Customers and website visitors

Identity and contact data, such as name, mobile number, email address and account credentials.

Pickup and location data, such as address, PIN code, city, preferred date and time slot, and location information supplied by the customer.

Device and transaction data, including category, brand, model, variant, age, condition answers, accessories, quoted price, inspection findings, final price, serial number or IMEI where operationally required, request status, payment details and transaction records.

Verification data, which may include a government-issued identity document when required to verify ownership, comply with law, prevent fraud or complete a purchase receipt. Only data reasonably necessary for that purpose should be collected.

Communications, including calls, emails, support tickets, WhatsApp or SMS messages, consent records and feedback. Calls should be recorded only after appropriate notice.

Technical and usage data, including IP address, browser, device identifiers, app diagnostics, cookies, referring pages and security logs.

Payment confirmation data, such as UPI ID, masked bank details, transaction reference and payment status. CashOnPick should not store full card credentials.

3 How we collect data

4 Purposes and lawful basis

We process personal data to take steps requested by a person, perform or administer a transaction, comply with law, protect users and the platform, and pursue legitimate operational purposes. Where consent is legally required, we will seek clear, informed and specific consent and provide a reasonable method to withdraw it.

Create and secure accounts; provide quotations; schedule and coordinate pickups.

Share necessary request details with an assigned partner and enable inspection, payment and collection.

Confirm identity, ownership and authority to sell; prevent theft, fraud, abuse and duplicate requests.

Create transaction records, purchase receipts, invoices or tax records where applicable.

Send OTPs, service notifications, request updates and support responses.

Send promotional communications only where permitted and provide an opt-out.

Operate, analyse, troubleshoot and improve our website, apps, pricing, support and security.

Handle complaints, disputes, legal claims, audits, regulatory requests and enforcement of our terms.

5 Sharing and disclosure

We may disclose only the data reasonably necessary to the following recipients:

Assigned pickup partners and their authorised pickup personnel.

Hosting, cloud, analytics, maps, OTP, telephony, messaging, email, payment, security, fraud-prevention and support providers acting under appropriate obligations.

Professional advisers, auditors, insurers and prospective corporate transaction parties subject to confidentiality and lawful safeguards.

Government, law-enforcement, courts, regulators or other persons where required or permitted by law, or necessary to protect rights, safety and property.

A successor or reorganised entity in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset transfer or restructuring, subject to applicable law.

CashOnPick does not sell personal data as a standalone product. Partners must not retain customer data longer than authorised or contact customers for unrelated purposes.

6 Cookies and analytics

CashOnPick may use essential cookies for login, security and functionality, and optional analytics or advertising technologies to understand use and measure campaigns. Where required, users will be offered meaningful cookie choices. Browser settings may block cookies, but essential features may then not work correctly.

7 Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose, contractual administration, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal, accounting or tax obligations. Retention periods should be documented internally by data category. When retention is no longer required, data will be deleted, anonymised or securely archived with access restrictions. A deletion request may not require deletion of records that must lawfully be retained.

8 Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including access controls, authentication, logging, encryption where appropriate, vendor controls, backups and incident procedures. No service is completely secure. Users must protect OTPs and account credentials and promptly report suspected misuse.

9 User choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, a person may request access to a summary of their personal data, correction or completion of inaccurate data, erasure of data no longer required, withdrawal of consent, closure of an account, information about grievance handling, or nomination of another person to exercise rights where the law permits. We may verify identity and may refuse or limit a request where a lawful exception applies.

Requests may be submitted through the CashOnPick contact form or the verified privacy or grievance email shown on the website. Withdrawal of consent will not affect processing already lawfully completed, and may prevent CashOnPick from providing a requested service.

10 Children

CashOnPick services are intended for persons legally capable of entering a binding transaction. Persons under 18 may not independently sell an item or register as a pickup partner. A parent or lawful guardian must conduct the transaction and provide any legally required consent.

11 Cross border processing

Service providers may process data from locations outside the customer’s state or, where legally permitted, outside India. CashOnPick will apply contractual and security safeguards and comply with applicable restrictions on transfers.

12 Breach and incident response

If a personal-data breach occurs, CashOnPick will investigate, contain and remediate it and make notifications required by applicable law. Users should report suspicious communications, unauthorised access or disclosure through the support channel immediately.

13 Third party links

The platform may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and CashOnPick is not responsible for those practices.

14 Changes and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal or security changes. The updated effective date will be displayed, and material changes may be separately notified where appropriate. Privacy and grievance requests should be sent to the verified contact published on the website, with the registered office address stated above.
